The Color of Pop
By : Eagle Latitudes
The youngest and most successful Pop artist of his generation, Brazilian-born Romero Britto has dazzled with his colorful, cheerful work for the past 20 years. Though headquartered in Miami Beach since the late 1980s, Britto’s art is truly international. His paintings and sculptures are represented in more than 100 galleries on five continents, as well as some of the world’s most impressive private collections, such as those of Eileen Guggenheim, Prince Albert of Monaco, David Rockefeller and former president Bill Clinton. True to Pop Art, Britto has also been a mainstay when it comes to world-renowned brands; global companies like Disney, Absolut Vodka, Royal Caribbean, Pepsi-Cola, Evian, Microsoft, Cirque du Soleil and Audi have relied on his art to promote their products.
Success has allowed Britto to share his wealth with the less fortunate. Not forgetting his humble origins, the artist established the Britto Foundation in 2007 in order to donate time, resources and talent to children and organizations across the planet. His goal is to provide support to individuals and groups that seek to create, encourage and promote education and humanitarian-based initiatives that benefit children all over the world.
