PRESIDENT'S LETTER
January - February, 2010
Welcome aboard!
As we enter a new decade and our 25th year of service, I would like to reiterate that the safety of our customers and our employees continues to be the highest priority for American Eagle—and for each of our people.
I could not be prouder of the pilots, mechanics, flight attendants, dispatchers, instructors, agents, baggage handlers, managers and various other co-workers who every day make sure procedures are followed and precautions are taken to ensure that your flight is operated safely and that our work is done carefully, to avoid accident or injury to our people.
From the exhaustive training that our pilots receive at our flight academy every year to the evacuation and other safety procedures rehearsed time and again by our flight attendants, and the multiple safety programs that inspect, audit, monitor and report on just about every aspect of our operation, safety pervades our company.
I’m sure that when you hear the expression “have a safe flight,” you’ve often considered this statement a simple pleasantry. My colleagues and I at American Eagle spend a large part of our lives making sure that this pleasantry is a reality when you fly with us.
I hope that you have a healthy, happy, prosperous and safe 2010. We will be making sure you “have a safe flight” every time you fly with us.
Sincerely,
Peter M. Bowler
President and CEO
American Eagle Airlines
